Biography

Andrea Koutras has her master’s degree in Social Work. She earned her degree from Michigan State University in 2014. She completed her graduate internships at the Saginaw Valley State University counseling center and the Child Abuse and Neglect Council of Saginaw. Following graduation, Andrea worked as an Outpatient Therapist at Family and Children’s Services of Midland and as a Parent Educator for the Saginaw County Youth Protection Council. She then worked as an outpatient therapist for Jafferany Psychological Services before joining the Behavioral Medicine team at CMU Health. Andrea specializes in the treatment of adults struggling with depression and anxiety. Her training has focused on Trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness practices.
